St Michael's Grammar joined Melbourne Victory's network of performance schools in February 2026. The partnership puts the club's coaches alongside students and school teams, with support extending from primary years through to senior football.
Victory's Pathways coaches help guide inter-school teams as well as a performance programme. Students also have a route into the annual Victory Schools Cup, while the agreement offers staff opportunities for professional development.
The school described the arrangement as a way to give students access to elite coaching without losing its focus on their broader development. At the time of the announcement, Victory said it was delivering football programmes across 12 Victorian partner schools.
