Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton's engagement was reported in March 2022 after their appearance together at the BAFTAs. A photograph shared by AJ Odudu showed a ring on Ashton's left hand.
The actors had worked together in the 2019 production of Harold Pinter's Betrayal, playing a married couple on stage. The production ran in London's West End before transferring to Broadway.
Their BAFTA appearance attracted attention because the pair had generally kept their relationship private. The engagement reports followed roughly three years of dating.
